Dans le cadre de l’exposition Vivre, au centre d’art culturel de Chamarande (Sud de l’Essonne), la paysagiste Astrid Verspieren a conçu une forêt-jardin, c’est à dire un jardin nourricier créé sur le modèle de la forêt naturelle. Pour cet espace, nous devions concevoir une micro-architecture en ossature bois, destinée, entre autre, au rangement des outils de jardinage. Le domaine de Chamarande accueille régulièrement des expositions temporaires et des installations artistiques. L’homme est permis d’intervenir sous forme d’actes artificiels dans cette nature riche et abondante. Comment poursuivre ces actes dans la forêt-jardin et proposer une nouvelle expérience dans ce lieu où la flore évolue de façon spontanée et libérée ? Comment raconter une nouvelle histoire sur la parcelle ? La forêt-jardin est vouée à devenir un lieu autonome ; une jungle comestible qui privilégiera la permaculture. Sur la parcelle, l’homme doit contrôler un minimum cette nature pour son bon développement, il y ajoute alors une part d’artifice. J’interprète la forêt-jardin comme un lieu expérimental dans lequel je vais intervenir par un nouvel acte artificiel en partant d’un scénario: le découpage de l’archétype du cabanon de jardin au sens commun du terme « 4 murs et un toit ». Ce volume d’origine se divise en trois parties distinctes formant trois édicules aux usages disloqués. Le premier édicule est destiné au stockage des plantes, mais aussi au séchage des aromates. Le deuxième accueille un plan de travail et des rangements pour les outils. La troisième partie « tranchée » est une estrade de contemplation, point de rassemblement pour les promeneurs et espace pour s’asseoir un instant pour observer la nature environnante.

As part of the exhibition "Vivre", taking place at the center of cultural art of Chamarande (South of Essonne), the landscape designer Astrid Verspieren imagined a wild garden, that is to say a nourishing garden created on the model of the natural forest. We had to design a micro-architecture wood frame, intended among other things, to store gardening tools. "The Domaine de Chamarande" regularly hosts temporary exhibitions as well as artistic installations. Humans beings are allowed to intervene in the form of artificial acts in this rich and abundant nature. How could we continue these acts in the forest garden and propose a new experience in this place where the flora evolves spontaneously? How could we tell a new story on this piece of land ? The garden forest is destined to become an autonomous place; an edible jungle that will favor permaculture. On the parcel, humans must control a minimum this nature for its good development, then it adds a part of artifice. I interpret the forest-garden as an experimental place in which I will intervene by a new artificial act starting from a scenario: the cutting of the archetype garden shed with the common sense of the term "4 walls and a roof" . This original volume is divided into three distinct parts forming three dislocated used kiosks. The first aedicula is intended for the storage of plants, but also for the drying of aromatics. The second accommodates a work plan and storage space for tools. The third "trenched" part is a contemplation platform, a meeting point for walkers and a place to sit for a moment to observe the surrounding nature.
