Protéger, plier, recouvrir... J’ai utilisé le scotch comme enveloppe, mais aussi comme matériau à sculpter et à métamorphoser. En lui donnant un contenant et de la couleur; je modélise cette peau de scotch de sorte à obtenir des volumes uniques. Je décide alors d'explorer différentes façons de transformer ce matériau en travaillant sa surface. Au fil des expérimentations, j'obtiens un répertoire de formes. Ce matériau ordinaire change de fonction et d'identité, il devient un objet que l'on sublime, que l'on expose au regard et que l'on va présenter au spectateur. Paradoxalement, cette collection de volumes informels évoque autre chose que du scotch. Comment ce processus de transformation aléatoire permet de redonner une évocation à l'informe ? En manipulant ces volumes, nous découvrons qu'il se cache autre chose derrière cette couche adhésive ; certains volumes expriment le végétal, d'autres le minéral et d'autres évoquent une certaine animalité. J’ai donc voulu les classer par catégories et les rassembler pour reformer un eco-système. Ces catégories sont finalement indissociables recréant un autre monde vivant.

Protecting, folding, covering ... I used scotch as an envelope, but also as a material to sculpt and metamorphose. By giving it a container and colors; I model this scotch skin to obtain unique volumes. I decided to explore different ways to transform this material by working on its surface. My different experimentations lead me to build a repertoire of shapes. This ordinary material changes its function and identity. It becomes an object that is sublimated, exposed to the gaze and presented to the viewer. Paradoxically, this collection of informal volumes evokes something other than Scotch material. How does this process of random transformation allow us to give an evocation to the formless? By manipulating these volumes, we discover that there is something else behind this adhesive layer; some volumes have another appearance (plants, flowers, minerals or shells). I wanted to categorize them and bring them together to reform an eco-system. These categories are ultimately indissociable recreating another living world.
